Sunday Dinner With The Cousins

Adam, Debora, Elliot and Rachel came over for dinner tonight. Great time catching up and letting the cousins play together. Max and Elliot got some sword fighting in also :-)

This morning I was going through the stack of papers that the kids had brought home from VBS this last week. In a sack of Max's things was a picture of his group that he was in. Yes, that is our son, 3rd from the right in the front row holding up the peace signs. I hold his father completely responsible.

Growing Up In 2008

Morgan's good friend Anna is in Lebanon for the summer visiting her relatives. Wayne was able to call Lebanon via the computer(Skype) so Morgan and Anna could talk this morning.

Morgan was part of an after school program to write a story, draw the illustrations and have the book published. Today the school presented all the kids their books in front of their parents. The school also purchased additional books and each kid will have a copy of their book in the school library with call numbers and all-- ready for check out!

Calendar Winner

A few months ago Morgan entered a Beaverton School District Recycling Calendar contest. Today she found out that out of 600+ students, she was one of the 12 chosen. She received the calendar today.

Tool Time

Wayne had a busy weekend of sawing off a half an inch off of 14 doors. After the new carpet was installed the doors wouldn't open or close. He was kind of like McGivier with a circular saw, back end of the pick up , a weight from his weight bench, 2 clampers, masking tape and an old bedspread.

Piano Recital

Emily had her piano recital today. She did her solo from memory and also played a beautiful duet with an eleven year old girl. We are so proud of her. She did a wonderful job and was so confident. All her hard work paid off. Video to come soon!
