First Day of Spring

This morning was yard work. We decided to remove the lovely juniper bush that we hated in the front yard. Not a simple process but Wayne got it all out except for one stump. I didn't need him over doing it and throwing out his back. Now we need to figure out what to put in it's place...any thoughts?

Everyone makes mistakes, oh yes they do

Well for the last few days I have been busily working on this mosaic that I saw here. It was going pretty well until the last few rows. Here is my darling son pointing out exactly where the imperfection is. Well it was my first attempt...if I do it again, I might attempt it a little different.

Play Ball

No rest for the weary...T-ball practice started tonight. He has 3 boys from his basketball team and another boy that he went to preschool with so that makes it extra fun plus some new faces to make new friends. Susan, I am sure you are impressed with the team that he is on.

Bloom

I was driving home today and had to pull over to take a picture of the trees. They are so gorgeous all in bloom and almost look like snow.

Last night Southridge( the high school that the girls will go to) played in the state semi-finals at the Rose Garden. Wayne was able to get the Tektronixs Skybox and take the whole 5th grade team. Southridge won and our girls had a ball watching and cheering.

This morning was Max's last basketball game of the season. He had a great season and his coaches were outstanding and made every Saturday morning fun for the kids.

Very exciting for Max to get his first trophy!

Another major bonus was Mrs. Williams--his kindergarten teacher-- surprising him and coming to the game.

Clean Bubbas

I just washed Max's "Bubbas" and put them on his pillow and I glanced back at them....I truly love those little elephants! They make him so happy and it makes me think he is still "little." Plus I totally "get" the lovey thing....from a 41 year old mother of 3 who still has her pink blankie :-)

It Went Way to Fast

Last pictures with Grandma Great and Penny before we had to take them to the airport. We miss them already and Grandma Sue too!

Max thought Penny blew her nose a lot and was always imitating her.

Bball and Target

Max was all smiles this morning with his huge cheering section. Maddie & Morgan played each other in the end of season tournament and Peyton had a game after that as well. Poor Emily came down with a stomach flu and was home with me for the day.

The day ended with a shopping trip for the munchkins at Target and then dinner. Needless to say we are all exhausted.
It has been a wonderful few days....can't believe they head home tomorrow.

The Fun Continues

Tonight was the annual nice dinner out.

The day started with shopping at Nordstroms.

Wayne and Penny having a disagreement over how well the dishwasher can wash things. Wayne was trying to prove to Penny that he could put the peanut butter jar in with peanut butter still in it and it would come out sparkling clean....Penny won that bet.
