It's a Beautiful Day....let's play golf

Wayne took Morgan to the golf course after school today. It was her first time actually playing on the course... they played 9 holes!

Obstacles

The latest after dinner activity at our house is riding bikes in the cul da sac with cones set up and weaving in and out of them.

What a Bargain

Wayne was so excited to go out for dessert tonight. He and the kids went last year to the 25 cent apple pie and so they wanted me to join them this year. Don't think he lets you get anything else or even anything to drink :-)

Off to College

Today I started a ceramics class at the local community college. I was a little nervous this am, since it has been awhile since I have done anything out of my comfort zone, but I am really glad I am taking the class. It is nice to concentrate on a block of clay for 3 hours and nothing else. It is far from easy but hoping I can get the hang of it soon. The video is what I was supposed to be attempting today....not as easy as it seems.

Costco Purchase

Max and I were at Costco this am and couldn't resist the Incredible Green Hulk costume. He is so excited to wear it on Halloween. He surprised the girls when they got home from school and then another surprise for Wayne. He makes lot of "hulk sounds" with the costume on....must be all the muscles.......check out Koele-he wasn't too sure who it was.

Amazing

My Grandma's birthday was yesterday....she turned 91! She is truly an amazing person. She is one of a kind and I would be proud to introduce her to anyone I know. I love you Grandma!

Saturday Shopping

I took the girls out shopping today so they could spend some of their birthday gift cards. Morgan bought a chair for reading and Emily a nail kit.

Daddy's Home

Wayne is home after being gone for 6 days....but who's counting :-) He was in Las Vegas for a conference for work. We are all thrilled to have him home!!!

Emily & Morgan had a 'SUITE' B-day Party

Emily & Morgan celebrated their 10th birthday at Embassy Suites here in Beaverton. They swam in the pool, ate pizza in the room, played monopoly, did each other's hair and even got some sleep.

Teddy Bear Day

Today is Teddy Bear Day at preschool. Everyone was supposed to bring their favorite teddy bear or other stuffed animal. Max was bound and determined to bring "Bearbear". I told him he could but he would have to carry him all morning at school. He had the biggest smile on his face this am and was so proud waiting in line to go into his classroom.

Off to Mrs. Cook's Class

Today is Max's first day of preschool ( year 2) . He is pretty casual about things this morning....we will see.

the EASY Step Intex Pool saga continues

The pool has been taken down and stored in the garage until next summer. Now we have to deal with the mess underneath. We threw out the carpet, removed the 20+ cinder blocks and now we have dead smelly grass and a ton of sand.



Wayne and Max were digging for the sprinkler head. We had to cover it for the pool and now we want it to work....so we can have green grass again.
Just like the manual said it's as easy 1-2-3!

Soccer has begun

After Dinner Energy

Emily has been learning some cheers from her friends at recess and wanted to show us. She is a real good sport considering her brother and his antics.

With the girls in school, Max doesn't have to compete for my attention in the car. Our car rides are now non-stop questions. Here are a few from today:

Swabbing The Deck

Our next project on the list is to stain the deck this weekend. Since the weather is supposed to be in the 80's all week we thought we should crank it out. Tonight we took most things off the deck and then Wayne scrubbed it down. As Wayne says, " rank hath no privileges"

Max had his first official swimming lesson this afternoon. He did great and even got to wear flippers!

FOURTH GRADE!!!

Not sure how this happened but the girls started 4th grade today-wow! We took the annual front porch picture and headed off. They both got settled into their own classrooms and then looked at me like 'you can go , mom'
