Max is Five!

Max had a wonderful 5th birthday. He has been counting down for months. Grandma Tina & Emily made him a special cake today.



He got a Nintendo DS just like his sisters....huge thrill!



Thanks to the Lisi's his hulk costume is complete with HUGE hulk hands that make "hulk sounds" when you punch things.

Katie's in Town!!!

Katie...one of our favorite babysitters is home from college for Thanksgiving. She came by to visit and give Max a early bday present. And yes....that is a Christmas tree in the backround. I spent all day starting to put up the Christmas decorations.

Thanksgiving Feast

Drawing it out as long as possible

Tonight Wayne took me out for a "fancy" dinner. It was my LAST birthday thing according to him :-) I was loving that they put Happy Birthday on the menu for me.

Me & The Boys

The girls are at a slumber party tonight so it is just the 3 of us. We started the night with Chinese food and games....Max is loving having ALL of mom & dad's attention.

Show & Tell

Every Thursday Max has show & tell. They bring it in a bag and then have to give clues to the whole class and then the classes guesses. His clues today were: it's green & yellow, it hides under my mom's pillow, and it makes my mom scream. Max said one of the guesses was an elephant!

Where the Sky meets the Earth

Tonight was the 4th grade play. Both girls had speaking parts and acting parts...Emily is the one behind the heart. Thanks to Annie we have documentation...when we got to the program we both looked at each other and said "did you bring the camera?"

Dinner with Craft Group

Tonight I had a fun dinner with my craft group of friends. We had a yummy dinner at Macaroni Grill and I was even serenaded....she sang "happy birthday" in Italian.

First Communion

Morgan, Madison & Emily had their first communion at church this morning. It was special to have communion as a family and with our cousins.

Let the Festivities Begin

I went to get my hair cut and when I returned the kids & Wayne surprised me with fun decorations and yelled "surprise" when I walked in the door. They even hid the car down the street so I would think they were gone.

I just had a wonderful early 40th birthday celebration with Jill and Susan. We had the perfect tranquil setting thanks to Jean. It was a tough schedule of massages, wine, naps, yummy food, pool, sun, hummingbird watching, visiting and just appreciating every moment. Thanks again for a very special weekend!

Part of my everyday routine is playing 'Spite and Malice' with Max. He would play cards all day if I was willing :-)

Kindness

I stopped off at the drive through Starbucks just a few minutes ago. It was very busy and I had to wait awhile. When I pulled up to the window the guy gave me my coffee and said that it had been taken care of. I said, "What do you mean?" I guess 2 cars in front of me paid for the ladie's coffee in front of me and then she decided to buy my coffee....how cool is that. Best cup of coffee I have ever had. I love that this Oprah moment really happened...I am anxious to PASS IT ON!

I was gone this morning and when I got back this is what greeted me. Looks like the kids have arranged all their goodies from last night. This will make it even harder to sneak a piece of candy since it would leave a hole in the loop :-)
