Weekend Activites
We played a game of Pictionary and this was Max's drawing of New York...no clue why we couldn't figure it out?!

Emily had her friend Kiehanna spend the night while Morgan and Max were at the Raleighs.

We are pretending that the weather here is nice and sunny so we did a little summer clothes shopping.

The only thing keeping me sane during these gloomy days are my flowers in the front yard. The peonies just started to bloom and they are spectacular.

We all participated in a sword/noodle fight...great way for everyone to get out their aggressions!

Happy 42nd Wayne

His number one birthday request was for a dolly...he is so excited to haul things around. First on the list was all 3 kids.

As always we had coconut cream pie instead of birthday cake-Acoba tradition.

Due to school activities tonight, he chose 5 Guys Burgers and Fries for dinner. The steak dinner on the grill will be tomorrow.
Big Thursday
Yesterday Max had his first ALL day field trip to Camp Tilikum. They had an exciting day of fishing, hiking, canoeing, tug-of-war, ropes bridge and a craft. It was a crazy weather day but they actually had some sunshine and didn't get too wet.
His whole class

Braving the rope bridge high off the ground

Fishing off the dock

The girls had their final elementary music program. It was an Ellis Island theme about the hardships that different immigrants from different countries endured to come to America. The 5th graders did an amazing job memorizing all their lines and singing some great songs.
Here is Emily singing her Spanish solo. We were amazed how well she sang and how she wasn't nervous at all!
Here is Morgan with her speaking part. She has come a long way from not wanting to stand up at the preschool program to getting up and speaking and dancing in front of the whole gymnasium.

Our turn for Treats
Today we were in charge of treats for after Max's game. Since it was the first beautiful sunny day in a long time I thought it would be fun to bring Popsicles. We ran by Albertson's on the way to the game. Wayne said he would run in and get them...I said make sure you get enough for 12 kids. He comes back, we put them in the cooler and head to the game. After the game we open up the cooler, hand out the Popsicles.....I help Max open his and I am HORRIFIED .... Wayne bought mini pops that you would give a toddler in a high chair. I think the kids felt like they got jipped.....we did get a few laughs out of it.
Below is a picture of the treat BEFORE any licks :-)

The Morgans
Morgan had her friend Morgan spend the night last night. The girls have been friends since 1st grade and have played on lots of teams together. Since 1st grade they have been known as Morgan A. & Morgan B.( and actually Morgan B's last name starts with a "B"). Max kept saying, " I am going to go see what the Morgans are doing, Are the Morgans awake yet, I am going to have breakfast with the Morgans :-)
