Summer Days

Earlier this week we headed back to the berry fields and picked marionberries, raspberries and blueberries......we are all getting our fill of Vitamin C and antioxidants!

Maddie & Peyton are spending the night tonight. I went to check on the progress of getting ready for bed. As soon as I told them I wanted a picture they all 3 "struck a pose!"

These two were scrubbing away...even Koele was getting in on the action.

Monday's Happenings

Haley came over today to hang out in the pool with the girls....it is still a bit nip in the water.

The kids have been planning dinners here and there this summer....tonight was Max's night. He chose "make your own pizza." He was in charge of the dough and getting all the ingredients set up. He was very proud and it was delicious.

Tonight it was ice cream bars at the Raleighs. Madison & Peyton had never met Trace & Lauren and Jim & Sheryl hadn't seen Jim & Jill since the girls baptism 11+ years ago!

Batter Up

Wayne's softball team was a player short last night, so Jim was recruited off the stands. Luckily he plays a ton in Chicago so he had no problem playing catcher and getting a few good hits.

Girls Only Outing

Emily, Morgan and Lauren headed off to Claire's this afternoon to purchase some new earrings. They have all waited 6 weeks, so now they can switch them out.

And of course, we had to stop for some frozen yogurt!

U- Pick Berries

Today we took the Midwest cousins Oregon berry picking. The kids and I picked 14lbs of raspberries, blackberries and boysenberries in about an hour. The plan is to make a berry cobbler for dessert.

Laughing, Games and Badminton

The 5 cousins have been playing hours of badminton. They have also spent a lot of time trying to get the "birdies" out of the trees.

Tonight we all went to the Kennedy School for dinner

Papa has been emailing hints for a week to Max for a special present coming our way. Today the gift arrived!!!

4th of July

4th of July Parade

This morning we went to a 4th of July parade in a nearby suburb.

Almost every group in the parade throws candy, so the kids were in heaven collecting it all.

Camps Come To An End

The girls have been going to Vacation Bible School this week with Madison. They had a great crew leader, Rick, who made the week extra "awesome!"

This morning was also the last day of basketball camp. The girls learned a ton and want to do it again next year.
