Silly Day

Today was "Silly Day" at preschool. It was their version of April Fool's since Max doesn't have school tomorrow. He thought wearing your pj's and a monkey shirt to school was pretty silly!

Spring Break '08

Today we got back from Bella Beach, OR where we spent part of the kids Spring Break. We had a relaxing time with every type of weather possible--even SNOW! Snow at the beach was a first for all of us.

Max loved playing in this little stream. Wayne and the kids had fun making dams and diverting the stream different directions.

Hapi Coats

In April the girls will be studying Japan at school. All the kids are asked to make a Hapi Coat which is sort of like a mini Kimono. Lucky for us Grandma Tina is an expert seamstress. We mailed her our fabric & pattern and look what we got!

Chocolate Bunny Cake

There is much discussion among my mom's side of the family as to whose chocolate cake recipe this is, BUT, in the Scholls Heights School District it is known as "Mrs. Acoba's Chocolate Cake". My good friend, Annie combined her family tradition of a bunny cake with my cake recipe and Waaa Laaa!

Let The Fun Begin

Today is the first of our 11 days off for Spring Break. The kids and I are having a tough afternoon :-) All 4 of us have been laying in my bed hanging out and relaxing. We are enjoying not having a schedule today.

I was away this last weekend on a Girl's beach weekend and when I returned this was waiting for me. Emily has learned this year about persuasive writing....she is keeping her fingers crossed that it worked.

Sunday's Activities

Sunday was a great day with all the cousins. We spent the afternoon in the front yard playing basketball, t-ball, lacrosse, four square, fire ball all with LOTS of sunshine!

Blue Jays vs The Cougars

Today was the "big game" against Madison and Uncle Jim's team. All 3 girls did a great job and were really fun to watch. Below is part of the cheering section...Maddie's grandparents, Aunt Jill and Miss Adams( Madison's second grade teacher)

Lunch Date

Max and I met Aunt Jill and Pey for a long overdue lunch outing today. We then went over to their house and visited and played....great way to end the week.

Wednesday Update

Morgan came home with a cool collage from her weekly Art Express class


Emily completed the first half of the State Test and did extremely well. She also got her hot pink retainer from the orthodontist.....which if you are in 3rd grade is really cool.

Ta Da!!!

It has been a busy weekend but Emily's vision has come true. We painted her room "stem green". It looks darling with all her hot pink accents....very springy.
