Sunshine Weekend

We finally had a summer-like weekend. We decided it was time to be optimistic and set up the pool. As you can see, Max was ready for action with only a couple of inches of water.

Max & Ryker at their first Field Day

Emily's last speech of the year was on the white tailed deer. She dressed up for her speech and did her costume all on her own!

The Countdown

The girls have 5 more days of elementary school and then they are off to middle school. It is hard for me to put my brain around it all....time seems to be flying by. I made this video mostly for myself but wanted to share it.

Surprise!

The girls have been waiting until the end of 5th grade to get their ears pierced. Today we surprised them and told them they could get them done today after church. It has been an exciting weekend.

The group of us all watching was pretty classic too!

The Homerun

This is Madison's home run from tonight caught by Emily's phone. It is a little shaky but it shows the excitement from the fans.

Sun, Sun, Sun and Softball

We had a fun day today at the softball fields. Peyton had the first game and did great. She was really good at fielding the balls and had a hit every time. Then it was Maddie's turn. The highlight of her game was a line drive down the center of the field and it was a HOMERUN! Grandma Sue took everyone to Dairy Queen afterwords to celebrate.

Day Two

Today was another fun filled day. Mom, Max and I ran a few errands this morning and then once we got Max off to school, Mom and I met Jill for lunch. We had a yummy lunch at PF Changs and my fortune cookie said: "An unexpected visitor will bring you good blessings."

Well it was true...we had 5 unexpected visitors, or rather baby chicks!

Max's class has been watching eggs in an incubator for the last 21 days and they have just started to hatch. Mrs. Williams asked us if we could have a slumber party for a few tonight. Max is in his glory to say the least. Actually all of us are pretty taken with them and will be sad when they have to go back to school tomorrow.

The night ended with Emily's softball game in the pouring rain.

Grandma Sue is Here

Mom has been here less than 24 hours and she has already been shopping, had lunch downtown, dinner with the Raleighs, played cards and even baked brownies with Max. Can't understand why she fell asleep so quick tonight :-)
