Well it was true...we had 5 unexpected visitors, or rather baby chicks!
Max's class has been watching eggs in an incubator for the last 21 days and they have just started to hatch. Mrs. Williams asked us if we could have a slumber party for a few tonight. Max is in his glory to say the least. Actually all of us are pretty taken with them and will be sad when they have to go back to school tomorrow.

The night ended with Emily's softball game in the pouring rain.

love those chicks, sad we couldn't come see them tonight. and mom looks dry and comfy at your game. here's hoping for sun on saturday!
Max and those chicks are so dang cute!! -- Hello to Aunt LinSue. Hope you guys have a great weekend!
DYING over those cute little chicks!! Perfect timing to get to bring them home while Lin Sue is visiting. Reminds me of when we did that in 5th/6th grade.
Have never seen such a HUGE umbrella in my life- at least Lin Sue looks cozy and dry-
Susan the umbrella thing is called a Sports Bella. We got it at Costco...it is like part umbrella part tent. It is great for the rain or if you need shade from the sun. You can fit 2 chairs under it so I think Wayne is going to try and pick up another one too.
They would be great at the beach also.
Yes, one of those Sports Bellas would come in SO handy over here too! The baby chicks are adorable..
Finally got caught up on the awesome stuff going on out there....baby chicks, a homerun, ear piercing.
Lauren got her ears pierced the same weekend.....
