August comes to an End
The time has come to drain the famous Intex pool. Wayne has been so excited to do the siphoning. He is running two hoses from the pool to the curb ( so it drains into the street drain). He has calculated how fast it takes to drain 1 gallon of the pool water and estimates that it will be done in 22 hours. I am trying to explain to him how geekish it is to even care.

Max was obsessed with coconuts while we were in Hawaii. Every time we saw a palm tree he was checking it out to see if it had coconuts. One day Wayne stopped at a road side stand and bought a coconut from a local. Everyone was excited to get it open. Wayne had to hit it with a hammer and use a pair of pillars to get the outer husk off. Bummer was when we finally got it open the coconut was over ripe and mushy and had to be tossed.
Today here in Tigard Wayne picked up a coconut at the grocery store for 95 cents.....the one in Maui was $5. The one here was perfect and yummy. We thought we were being all authentic getting one in Hawaii...and then the one here ended up being perfect and cheap....go figure.
