Typical Monday Morning
Max starts the day with swimming lessons. This morning he was working on his backstroke. It was Pirate Day...hence, the pirate hat on the swim teacher.
After lunch we get a little bike riding in.
We then wait for the bus for about 5 minutes because we don't want to be late.

Off to Kindergarten!

California Visitor
Wayne's cousin, Edward was in Seattle this weekend for the USC vs. Washington game. He drove down to Portland to visit us before he flew back to LA. It was fun to catch up with him and the kids thought he was pretty funny. Always good to spend time with family.

VolleyBall
This afternoon we all went to watch Madison in her first volleyball tournament. It was fun to see a new sport. Maddie and her team did a great job. They won both games while we were there.

Mr. Bear
Mr. Bear belongs to Max's Kindergarten class. He comes home with a different student each day and gets to spend the night. He has his own backpack and journal. After you have done something with Mr. Bear you draw a picture of it and write what you did.
Max's journal says, "Today Mr. Bear and I put a rubber lizard under my mom's pillow. We had fun" -Max

Official Birthday & FINAL Celebration!!!
One of Morgan's favorite gifts was her globe.
Showing this picture might not be my smartest move when I have a "cake expert" for a mother-in-law :-)
Max and I made the girls cake this morning when they were in school.
Just a little problem with not enough powdered sugar to FULLY frost the cake.
It does taste good and it definitely shows that it was homemade!
We also had a world's record for how many times we sang Happy Birthday and lit the candles.
We sang to both of them first. Then one of them said the other one blew out their candles. So we did it separately to both of them. Then Emily said she forgot to make a wish....so we did her again. Max flew in when Morgan was blowing hers out and she said that he blew out one of hers....so we sang and relight the candles for her. At the end of it we were all in hysterics from laughing!
