Partying Like a Sixth Grader

The Graduates

Today is the last day of school. I now have a 1st grader and 2 middle schoolers! I have been busily decorating for the after school celebration at our house. Here are my decorations before they get drenched by rain....keeping my fingers crossed.

First thing this morning was an all school assembly. Here are the 5th graders cheering.

Max and his buddies who he will miss a lot.

5th Grade Send Off Party

Today has been a very exciting day for Emily, Morgan and the rest of the 5th graders. The morning started off with all the 5th graders marching through the school.
Here is Emily's teacher leading the way.

After the parade they all went to the cafeteria for doughnuts and a surprise. Mr. Pronto was the famous PE teacher that the kids loved and had from Kindergarten through 4th grade. He retired last year but made a surprise appearance today....the kids were over joyed.
They had some fun outdoor games and then loaded the buses for cosmic bowling, pizza, soda, a slide show and signing of t-shirts.

Here is Mr. Pronto at the bowling alley

Softball Season Comes To A Close

Emily's team had their softball party tonight. The coach had some really nice things to say about Emily's fielding, hitting, knowledge of the game....she really improved throughout the season. Wayne and I were most proud of the comment from the coach that Emily was always well behaved and did whatever the coach asked of her without ever complaining or questioning his authority.

A Full Bus Load

I was helping out a couple friends tonight so the girls' friend Lauren rode the bus home with them today and Max's buddies, Dawson & Grant came home with him. The girls were busy making friendship bracelets and the boys had taken over the play structure.
